Re: Flow CSV Viewer remembering layout

Thank you, always happy to help! Yes, it's the application's user configuration file located in AppData\Roaming\Waveworks\Flow in your user directory. If you quit Flow and delete that file, or just the <setting name="VariableSettings"> ... </setting> element of it, and then restart, all th...

Re: Flow CSV Viewer remembering layout

Hello, and thanks! Unfortunately it's not possible to disable this feature entirely, and you definitely have a point, it should be possible to disable it. I'm noting that for the next version. There are a few things you can do though, depending on how you want your layout instead of the current logi...

Re: x axis questions

Glad it helped! No unfortunately not, and that's by far the most requested feature - quite understandably. It's a bit complicated to implement however, because the entire caching mechanism that makes Flow quite fast to plot big data files depends on a fixed data point width. But it will come, eventu...

Re: x axis questions

Hello, You're correct, Flow doesn't store the X axis settings, which clearly it should. I'll fix it for the next version. Sorry about the inconvenience! Flow doesn't have a datetime type, but as a matter of fact there is an undocumented function for turning a Unix timestamp (milliseconds since Jan 1...

Re: Feature request: Default formulas and other QOL

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to report your feedback! I very much agree with all of your suggestions, and actually similar ideas are already on my (very long) TODO list. I'll note another request for these features. I don't dare to say when the next version will be out since I'm currently in...

Re: Auto reload shift left?

Hello again Roger, I'm afraid there's currently no way to make Flow scroll to the end of the data after a reload of the file. However I'm aware of other users who use Flow as a real-time display of files that are continuously updated, so I'll try to make sure that the next version supports this use ...

Re: Connect points directly.

Hello Roger,

The short answer is unfortunately no - there is currently no interpolation between samples when zooming in on the data. I have seen this request before, so I will add it to the list of future improvement. Thank you for your feedback!

Best regards,
Gustaf

Re: Auto reload externally changed files does not work properly

Hi again Walter,

Thank you for the added insight. That's an interesting experiment - I'll try it out when I get a chance. Indeed if a text editor or "type" can open the file, Flow should of course also be able to open it.

Best regards,
Gustaf

Re: Auto reload externally changed files does not work properly

Hi Walter, Thank you for the detailed error report, and sorry about the trouble with the auto reload functionality! To address the first issue about file access, as far as I know, the Windows operating system doesn't allow opening a file that's still open in another process. I think you need to clos...

Re: Ignore the first n lines in a file before processing

Hello again Peal, Your request has been noted! It's not very hard to implement, but the list of requests is long and I'm currently fully occupied with other work, so I'm afraid an updated version is not imminent. Optionally, you're welcome to contact me at info@waveworks (add .dk manually) with rega...
