Hi,
is it possible to plot points on x unequaly, based on its actual value.
Background is csv that i have is log file of data, which is logged on signal change, at each signal change also timestamp is logged.
I would like to plot csv so that distance between points on x axis would be based on timestamp.
For example I have csv as below, where timestamp Time is unequal.
Time;Value
1; 1
10; 2
100; 3

Plot points based on x axis value
Re: Plot points based on x axis value
Hello Dejan! This is unfortunately not yet possible, but it's by far the most requested feature. If you check the Feedback board here in the forum and read the "timestamps, scatter plots" thread, you will see several users asking for the same thing.
I have noted yet another request for this feature and hope to be able to release it in a not too distant future!
Best regards,
Gustaf

Hi Gustaf,
thanks for feedback, I was not aware of that.

Hi Gustaf,
any news about this long waited feature?
This feature and the manage of x-row timestamp for not regularly sampled data are still most wanted feature
Thank you in advance,
Vincenzo

Re: Plot points based on x axis value
Hi Vencenzo,
Thank you for the nudge, maybe I need it! Unfortunately it requires me to restructure and rewrite the whole plotting component, which will be a lot of work. I hope to be able to start working on it in June, but I don't dare to say when I can release it. Hope you can manage for a while still!
Best regards,
Gustaf

Re: Plot points based on x axis value
Hi,
another user of event based timestamps in .csv logfiles here.
Time difference between entries can be from 1 second to several days.
Flow CSV (editor) to be able to plot these properly would really be a great improvement.
As it is now the plot is unfortunately too distorted to be usable.
Everything else is just perfect, especially the speed with large .csv files.
Thanks for your work.

Re: Plot points based on x axis value
Hello Blechi, thank you for taking the time to report your feedback! The work with support for irregularly sampled data has started and I intend to release it before the end of 2022. I appreciate everyone's patience!

Gustaf
